Rioch Edwards Brown being interviewed on BBC News 24.
Also interviewed Dr. Chris Van Ee – biomechanic and Patrick Lantz – pathologist.
From a biomechanics perspective shaken baby is not a valid diagnosis and their findings are that the forces incurred in shaking are far less than found in accidental falls. Pathologists are also questioning its validity. The occurrence of eye bleeds in infants once thought to be part of the criteria for a shaken baby diagnosis is now much more common than thought. Similar bleeds can be seen in birth trauma and other medical issues
